UPDATE 01/01/06: If you liked reading the webcomic, please consider picking up a copy of Van Von Hunter Volume 1 and/or Van Von Hunter Volume 2. You'll be glad to know that the book series contain all new content. And while you're at it, please consider making your purchase through Amazon.com.

You see, we're part of their Associate program. For every person who clicks through our link and buys a book (or any item, actually), we get a small kickback. In the end, if you buy from Amazon.com, you get a fair deal on good merchandise, and you're helping us out too...with no extra effort, I might add. So as you can see, it's clearly a win-win situation!

UPDATE 01/01/06: We've updated our HOW YOU CAN HELP VAN VON HUNTER FAQ. Personally, I like the "Give us a sack of money with a dollar sign painted on the side" option. Okay, there's no such option. But I wish there were.

CONQUERING THE GALAXY...AGAIN

Mike

In my continued attempt to shed everything of distraction from my life, I've put up my old Nomad Zen Xtra mp3 player up for auction on eBay.

Lacking Ron’s willpower, I seem to be finding more ways to distract myself from getting things done. There seem to be a whole bunch of neat-looking strategy games popping up now, and as a fan of the old SimTex games, I had to try out Galactic Civilizations 2. From what I’ve had time to play of it so far, it looks like the best 4X game in quite some time. It also seems that they’ve made the game fairly easy to mod, as evidenced by this thread. I found on their forums. Who knows, perhaps we’ll see a total conversion mod that will allow players to answer the ultimate nerd question: Who would win in a fight between Star Trek and Star Wars?
